Yup it has been a while since my last post, sorry Cat, its just lots has been going on. Since June of this year I started to volunteer at a juvenile detention center. Yeah you might think it is a scary place or a waste of time, but I love it. What do I do there? I talk to them. The topics I talk about are life lessons and the catholic faith. Lots of these teens are just misguided and they need to hit rock bottom to realize there is more to life than material things for instance drugs, money, alcohol, etc. I plan to continue visiting these teens because I truly believe they are not a lost cause and remind them that God will always love them. So Cat I need some of your quotes and strategies so can I connect more with these teens, thanks. Of course if anyone has any strategies don't be shy send me a comment or email. Besides that school is cool. My statistics class is killing me, but the personality class is interesting. By the way I am a psych major and soon, more like 2015 soon, I will graduate with my BA in psychology. My dream job is be a profiler so beware people.
The only new thing, more like person, in my life is Ron Hoch. Ron is my boyfriend and he is the most interesting man alive, yeah I go that from the Dos XX beer commercial. I have broken my fair share of hearts but the thought of breaking his saddens me. When I think about my future and the adventures I want to embark I see him there with me.
December is coming up and I can't wait. It's not the presents one receives in Christmas or the celebration on New Years it is because I have the opportunity to go to Tijuana, Mexico for a week. Gospel Roads is a program through Saint Dominic Savio Church where certain adults and young adults go and help out the parishes in any way down in Tijuana. In the next blog I will write about my experience down in Tijuana aka TJ. So, I am excited for December 26 to come, that's the day I will go to TJ.
Cat I hope all is well down in Juarez. Give Cho a big kiss for me yeah. I love you both so much. Oh yeah one more thing, tell Diana I met a young lady in Best Buy that reminded me of her. It was the funniest thing ever. The young lady was helping me, marisol and my parents out about an apple laptop and she insisted that she was part of our family and expected a Christmas present. HA! I love you guys and I always think of you. I mean I literally talk about you and Cho to my teens in the detention center.
Until next time beautiful people. Servus.
